Stop whining

I voted “yes” in The Times’ survey to modify the letters to the editor policy. I want to add my recommendations as well...

1. Stop whining! If you don’t have a viable alternative to a problem, go off in a corner and mutter to yourself; nobody wants to hear you rant!

2. Stop attacking others! If you have an alternative point of view, state it, but do it without all the personal sniping.

3. Enough with the political half (sometimes full) lies and third person gossip. Again, if you have an opinion state it. If you have “facts,” reference your source!
