On behalf of our family, I wish to thank all the thoughtful people in our community, neighbors and friends who supported us in time of need, including the first responders (EMT, Fire Department and the Sheriff’s Office), who responded within minutes to treat my husband Ed and transport him to Scottsdale hospital on Shea Blvd.
Many thanks to volunteers Victoria and Kimberly of CARE Fountain Hills who stayed with me for hours at the hospital, and the hospital staff who were there to facilitate Ed’s needs. Thanks to Messinger Mortuary for providing needed assistance.

Ed’s greatest passion was serving others. Many thanks to the wonderful groups that Ed enjoyed being part of, including Sunset Kiwanis, Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity and the Youngstown State University Alumni Group. To honor Ed, the Youngstown State University Alumni has created a scholarship in Ed’s name.
To everyone who sent flowers, letters, cards and donations – thank you. A memorial bench in Ed’s honor will be placed in the Centennial Circle in Fountain Hills.
