Both the high school cross country and football teams are gearing up for state competitions to be held this Saturday, Nov. 9.

The cross country squad will head to the Cave Creek golf course this weekend with the boys set to run at 9:45 a.m. and the girls taking off at 10:45 a.m. An awards presentation will follow. This will be the final day of competition for he season.

The football squad, on the other hand, will be playing in the first round of the state playoffs Saturday evening. The Falcons will be on the road to take on the Coolidge Bears with kickoff set for 6 p.m. If victorious, the Falcons will continue into round two of the playoffs next Saturday evening, Nov. 16.
