Starr Agnes Carrie, 79, of Fountain Hills passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 14, 2014.
Starr was born in Chesterfield, N.Y. on Nov. 18, 1934. She grew up on a farm in Peru, N.Y. then lived in Keeseville, N.Y. until she met her beloved husband, George W. Carrie, while he was stationed at a nearby Air Force Base. They were married 55 years until George passed away in 2012.
Starr loved her grandkids, going to the movies and reading, even cookbooks, and was a fantastic cook.
A homemaker and ASU graduate, her life revolved around her family, always welcoming friends and relatives to share meals and laughter.
She loved traveling, the theater, music and “Breaking Bad.”
She is survived by her children, Laurie (Dan), George (Della), Jamie, Todd (Betsy); her grandkids, Nate, Jeremy, Jesse, Madi Starr, Mason; great-grandson, Ayden; and sister-in-law, Irene.
A memorial service will be a private celebration of Starr’s life on Nov. 16.
