Sports continue into the weekend

Volleyball - The high school volleyball squad had another tough match Thursday evening, losing to Saguaro on the home court 3-1. The Falcons jumped out to an early lead, winning the first game 25-20 before turning over control to the visiting squad from Saguaro. The Falcons lost the next three games in a row, 25-19, 25-16, 25-11.

Football - The football team will be on the road this week, set to take on Coolidge Friday evening, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m.

Cross Country - The cross country team will host its first event of the season on Saturday, Sept. 21, with 25 teams expected to hit the course wrapping around Fountain Park. The first race in this big event is set to begin at 8 a.m.
