The Sons of AMVETS Squadron 7 recently made a donation of $6,275 to Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors.

The donation is a result of funds raised at the March 15 Fountain Hills St. Patrick’s Festival and will be used by the foundation for projects to assist veterans in the greater Phoenix area.

Jared Allen’s Homes for Wounded Warriors’ mission is to provide financial assistance and support to injured United States military veterans by building and remodeling handicap accessible homes to suit their individual needs one wounded warrior at a time.

The organization was formed in October of 2009 by Chicago Bear Jared Allen after he returned home from his USO trip to U.S. military bases in the Middle East.

Allen was moved by the commitment, dedication and sacrifices that soldiers make every day to protect our freedom.
