So proud

Congratulations, Fountain Hills! After 15 years of regressive policy and politics, you have finally elected another progressive mayor.

Cheryl and I are so proud of Ginny for carrying the torch and never, ever giving in to the politics of personal destruction. She is a classy person and will do a fine job.

Further accolades go out to Mike and Alan for winning seats on the town council. Ginny now has the team in place to move Fountain Hills forward.

I couldn’t end this letter without expressing Cheryl and my gratitude for the crushing defeat handed to Joe Arpaio by the voters. After two lopsided losses in a row, one might think his political career has simply run out of gas. Now the healing can begin. The lost lives, careers, taxpayer money, etc. can never be made whole, but hopefully they will never be repeated again.

By the way, every candidate that Cheryl and I contributed to in the state of Arizona won last night. Our collective future is so bright – what, that's right – we gotta wear shades.
