So much for transparency and an open door in Fountain Hills

OPINION – From the word go, it was clear to me that Mayor Friedel was not there to restore calm.

He began by scolding residents about previous meetings where disruptive behavior was exhibited, according to him. Vice Mayor Skillicorn followed by requesting that the call to the public for the night be moved to the very bottom of the agenda. A blatant disregard and slap in the face to residents there to speak.

They agreed to this knowing that moving that item to after their vote on suspending or eliminating the call to the public meant residents would sit through hours of town business, only to then be denied their last opportunity to speak.
