Welcoming. Vibrant. Diverse. Growing. Visionary. I think, or I hope, most residents of our beautiful community want these descriptions for Fountain Hills. Three candidates for council stand out in representing these ideals. McMahon. Corey. Male.
Peggy McMahon has always been the council role model for participation in town government, volunteerism and cheerleader throughout the Valley for the paradise that is Fountain Hills. She played a key role in getting approved the planned reenergizing of the Shea corridor.
Likewise, Clayton Corey brings youth, openness to new ideas and community planning skills to the community. As a P&Z commissioner, Clayton was a leading voice in fighting for the Shea corridor redevelopment, unlike most of the other candidates.
Finally, Henry Male brings a fresh face to town government and is proud of his declared independent political tag. He will bring new ideas for improving our quality of life, our diversity and business opportunities.
Our #1 issue today is roads. We hear it over and over. The truth is additional funding is necessary. There are no cuts possible that will fix the issue. We have short-changed roads since the roads district was dissolved in 1989.
These candidates will not hide from the truth. So, keep our town a paradise and vote for McMahon, Corey and Male.
