Significant progress from the new administration in Fountain Hills

OPINION –  We want to thank Mayor Friedel and the Town Council for the significant progress that has been made in cleaning up the construction debris in the Sycamore wash/park.

This problem was first brought to the attention of the mayor and Town Council publicly during the preceding administration on Aug. 22, 2023. The administration at that time did very little to solve the problem and seemed to brag about saving money by using the wash as a dumping ground despite the “no dumping” sign clearly posted on the property.

Even after it was pointed out that the town’s voter-approved Environmental Plan protected the wash, the prior administration did not commit to cleaning up the mess.
