Sidewalk infill work in Fountain Hills moves to Palisades

Phase II of $2 million project

With much of the work completed along Saguaro Boulevard between Fountain Hills and El Lago boulevards, the sidewalk infill project in the center of Fountain Hills has moved on to a stretch along Palisades Boulevard between La Montana Drive and Fountain Hills Boulevard.

With $2 million in federal grant funding, the Town of Fountain Hills is closing gaps in the system for moving pedestrians around town. The first phase has eliminated gaps for more than a mile along both sides of Saguaro Boulevard. Phase two will focus on the westbound side of Palisades between La Montana Drive and Fountain Hills Boulevard. When that is complete the walkways will be complete along both sides of Palisades from Saguaro to Fountain Hills boulevards.

In March 2022, the town was awarded a $2 million federal grant to complete this project in conjunction with the Arizona Department of Transportation. This infrastructure work includes:
