Short-term rental update presented to Fountain Hills Town Council

Town has 210 active rentals

The Fountain Hills Town Council received an update regarding short-term rentals in town during its meeting on Tuesday, March 17, concerning compliance with rental owners and town code.

While Arizona State law prevents the town from prohibiting short-term rentals, Fountain Hills can regulate and require compliance, Town Manager Rachael Goodwin said. 

In November 2022, the Town Council approved a new article of town code that allowed the permitting process, Town Chief Financial Officer Paul Soldinger said.
