Shirley Lahti

Shirley Lahti (nee Nottom) passed peacefully to her Heavenly Home Oct. 19, 2017, at 81 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Don of Fountain Hills; sons, Dudley of Turtle Lake, Wis. and Doyle of Gold River, Calif.; sister, Gertrude Reamer of Sebeka, Minn.; and four grandchildren, Laura and Craig Lahti of California, Ashley and John Lahti of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Francis (nee Krecker) Nottom and 19 siblings.

Shirley was born on Sept. 2, 1936, in Turtle Lake Township, Barron County, Wis., the 19th of 21 children.

She married Don Lahti on Nov. 10, 1956. Shirley and Don lived in Minnesota until moving to Arizona in 1989, and settling in Fountain Hills in 1998.

She worked for many years, most recently as a planner for NCR Corp.

Shirley delivered meals to the homebound for several years. She was a charter member of Hooks & Needles, crocheting and knitting for charity.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 16150 E. El Largo Blvd., Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.
