Sheriff’s Office reports subject arrested on assault charges in Fountain Hills

Weekly report, June 12 through June 18

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reports that deputies responded to the following calls in District 7 based in Fountain Hills during the week from Thursday, June 12 through Wednesday, June 18.

On Friday, June 13, deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where a disturbance was reported. According to deputies a subject entered a business and caused damage to the lobby of the business and assaulted an employee. The subject then damaged a vehicle in the parking lot. Deputies said that the subject also resisted arrest and assaulted a deputy. The subject was taken into custody and booked into jail on multiple charges.

Thursday, June 12

*A resident of the 16000 block of Saguaro Vista Drive reported that an unknown subject listed a fraudulent item for sale online. The victim paid approximately $3,600 but never received the item.

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane for criminal speed. According to deputies, the driver was traveling 75 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. The report states the driver was traveling 61 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject stole cash that was inadvertently left in an ATM machine. The cash was later returned, and the victim did not wish to aid in prosecution.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Saguaro Blvd. for a reported private property vehicle collision. Deputies report that a driver backing out of a parking space struck another vehicle in a church parking lot. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to close an account.

Friday, June 13

*Deputies responded to Palisades and Palomino boulevards for a reported traffic collision. MCSO reports that a driver failed to yield from a stop sign and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that a subject was formally trespassed from a business.

Saturday, June 14

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Fountain Hills Boulevard at Keith McMahan Drive. It was reported that a driver was stopped for mandatory insurance and suspended plates. A records check also revealed that the driver’s license was suspended. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

Tuesday, June 17

*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Technology Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report that a driver struck the curb and left the roadway striking landscaping foliage. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

*Deputies received a report that an unknown subject stole the license plate from the victim’s vehicle.

*Deputies responded to Aguilar and La Pasada drives following a report that an unknown subject put graffiti on multiple stop signs.

*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported that a subject rented a hotel room then later disputed the charge on their credit card resulting in the business not being paid for the rental.
