Fountain Hills: Sheriff’s call log

Maricopa County Sheriff’s District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls from Thursday, Nov. 21, through Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Thursday, Nov. 21

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a subject was apprehended for shoplifting from a business. The business did not wish to aid in prosecution, the subject was trespassed from the property.

*Deputies responded to the 9000 block of Firebrick Drive where a domestic violence assault incident was reported.

*A resident of the 15000 block of Sycamore Drive reported that an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to open a bank account.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive where it was reported that a verbal dispute led to a subject intentionally striking the victim, who was on foot, with a vehicle. An aggravated assault investigation is ongoing, according to MCSO.

Friday, Nov. 22

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where a domestic violence assault incident was reported.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business.

*Deputies responded to Shea and Saguaro boulevards where a single vehicle traffic collision was reported when a vehicle hit a street light post. Deputies located the scene of the collision, but the vehicle had left. A short time later the vehicle was located a short distance away off the side of the road. Deputies contacted the driver and initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was transported for medical care, the vehicle was towed. DUI charges pending lab analysis.

Saturday, Nov. 23

*Deputies responded to Palisades and Saguaro boulevards for a reported traffic collision. Deputies said that a driver failed to yield from a traffic light and struck another vehicle. One passenger was transported to the hospital for medical care. The vehicles were towed from the scene.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where a subject was trespassed from a business after being intoxicated and causing a disturbance.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Kingstree Blvd. where a subject was trespassed from a residence after causing a disturbance.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Grandview Drive reported that an unknown subject stole the license plate from a vehicle that was parked at a residence.

*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. where it was reported that multiple subjects shoplifted items from a business. The subjects were located and trespassed from the business. Shoplifting charges are pending.

*A resident of the 14000 block of Armijo Drive reported that a subject took the complainant’s vehicle without permission and intended to permanently deprive the complainant of the vehicle.

Sunday, Nov. 24

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a subject unlawfully entered a fire station and stole an empty gear bag. The subject was contacted by deputies. The fire department did not wish to aid in prosecution. The property was returned to the station and the subject was trespassed from the property.

*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Palisades Blvd. where it was reported that a subject stole an item from a business. Deputies contacted the subject, but the business was unwilling to aid in prosecution.

Monday, Nov. 25

*Deputies made a traffic stop on Fountain Hills Boulevard at Glenbrook Boulevard. The driver was stopped for criminal speed in a school zone where deputies said they were traveling 38 miles per hour where the speed limit is 15. Upon contacting the driver, the deputy initiated a DUI investigation. The driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was issued a criminal citation.

*An individual reported to deputies that an unknown subject contacted the victim by telephone as part of a fraudulent scheme. The victim was defrauded out of approximately $50,000.

Wednesday, Nov. 27

*Deputies responded to Avenue of the Fountains and La Montana Drive where a traffic collision was reported. Deputies said a driver failed to yield when entering a roundabout. No injuries were reported, one vehicle was towed from the scene.
