Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation based in Fountain Hills is reporting that deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Nov. 7, through Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Thursday, Nov. 7
*Deputies responded to Palisades and Palomino boulevards for a reported traffic collision. Deputies say the incident occurred when a driver ran a stop sign and struck a bicyclist. The driver was issued a citation. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital for medical treatment. No vehicles were towed.
*Deputies made a traffic stop on Saguaro Boulevard at Trevino Drive for a vehicle equipment violation. A records check revealed that the driver had a suspended license, and a valid misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. The driver was issued a criminal citation, arrested and booked into jail on the warrant.
Friday, Nov. 8
*Deputies responded to a reported private property collision in the 16000 block of Keith McMahan Drive. According to MCSO, the collision occurred when a delivery vehicle was taller than the clearance of a covered loading area and when attempting to drive under the covered area the top of the vehicle struck the edge of the covered area. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 14000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property collision occurred when a parked vehicle rolled down a hill and struck a wall belonging to a business. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Almont Drive reported that the victim was defrauded by an unknown suspect who fraudulently posed as a potential employer and made the victim purchase items worth approximately $18,000 under false pretenses.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Cholla Drive reported that an unknown subject used the complainant’s identifying information without permission to purchase a vehicle out of state.
*A resident of the 11000 block of Desert Vista Drive reported a violation of a court order.
Saturday, Nov. 9
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Enterprise Drive reported that a subject caused a disturbance at a business. The subject was trespassed from the business.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Brunswick Drive reported a subject was trespassed from a residence by the owner and later returned to the property without permission.
*Deputies responded to the 17000 block of Shea Blvd. for a reported private property collision. Deputies said a driver struck a vehicle attempting to exit a drive through. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies reported that a subject was trespassed from a business in the 13000 Fountain Hills Blvd.
*A resident of the 17000 block of Grande Blvd. reported that a subject installed cameras in their back yard that viewed into a neighbor’s yard to harass the neighbor.
Sunday, Nov. 10
*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and La Montana Drive for a traffic collision. According to MCSO, the crash occurred after a vehicle failed to yield from a stop sign and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
*Deputies responded to Verde River Drive and Avenue of the Fountains where it was reported that an unknown subject stole a backpack from a vendor tent at the Fountain Hills art festival.
*Fort McDowell Police contacted a subject who had an arrest warrant out of Maricopa County. The subject was turned over to deputies and subsequently booked into jail on the warrant.
Monday, Nov. 11
*Deputies received a report that an unknown subject stole a rented golf cart from an organization during the Fountain Hills art festival.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where a private property collision was reported. According to MCSO, a driver backed into a parked vehicle in the parking lot of a business. No injuries were reported. No vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 13000 block of Fountain Hills Blvd. for a reported private property hit and run collision. Deputies said the incident occurred when a driver backed into a parked vehicle in a business parking lot. The driver fled the scene without contacting the other party or exchanging information.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Hampstead Drive reported that an unknown subject took items from a home.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive reported that a subject threatened the complainant during a video call on social media.
*A resident of the 14000 block of Del Cambre Ave. reported a violation of a court order.
Tuesday, Nov. 12
*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Avenue of the Fountains for a reported traffic collision.
According to MCSO, a bicyclist traveling the wrong direction struck a vehicle attempting to enter the roadway from a parking lot. No injuries were reported, no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and La Montana Drive for a reported traffic collision. Deputies say a driver failed to yield from a stop sign and struck another vehicle in the intersection. No injuries were reported. A vehicle was towed from the scene.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Sunridge Drive reported that an unknown subject used the complainant’s home address without permission to apply for a federal assistance program.
Wednesday, Nov. 13
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Saguaro Boulevard at Malta Drive. According to deputies, the motorist was traveling 60 miles per hour where the speed limit is 35. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Eagle Ridge Drive where it was reported that an unknown subject stole a political sign from the intersection.
*Deputies responded to the 11000 block of Saguaro Blvd. where it was reported that a subject stole items from a vehicle belonging to a business while working for the company.
