The judge’s recent ruling of “guilty of criminal contempt of court” against Sheriff Joe Arpaio was a gut-wrenching travesty.
We had a sheriff who has the integrity and backbone to enforce our laws, including illegal immigration laws. Enforcing immigration laws was directly opposed to the open border, politically-driven agenda of the past administration. Joe was a thorn in their side. They set out to get him. They used all the influence and resources at their disposal and they were relentless.
Most people would have been physically and emotionally broken by now. Joe is a strong person, but one cannot help but feel for him and his wife. This situation is simply grossly unjust.
