Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church invites the community to a Palm Sunday worship experience Sunday, April 13, at 9:30 a.m.
The event is entitled “Love Unknown,” a festival of passion readings and hymns by renowned composer Dr. Michael Burkhardt.
Blending timeless hymns, soaring choral anthems and dramatic readings, this special service sets the tone for Holy Week, offering a moment of deep reflection and spiritual renewal, according to a press release.
The Shepherd of the Hills Choir and soloists, joined by area musicians, will bring this musical journey to life with brass, percussion, organ and violin.
Interwoven throughout the performance are selections from “The Final Week of Jesus,” adapted from “And the Angels Were Silent” by bestselling author Max Lucado, offering an inspiring narrative to accompany the music.
This one-time event is free and open to all.
This service promises to be a deeply moving experience of faith, music and reflection, the release said.
Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is located at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd. For more information, contact the church office at 480-837-9532.
