Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills invites those who are grieving the loss of a loved one to join a supportive and understanding GriefShare group beginning Monday, Jan. 13.

This 13-week program offers a safe space to connect with others who understand the challenges of grief, according to a press release.

Sessions will run weekly on Mondays from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Education Building, Room 5, at 16150 E. El Lago Blvd.

Each meeting features a thought-provoking video led by experienced counselors, pastors and healthcare professionals, covering essential grief-related topics.

The videos also include relatable personal stories of individuals who have walked through grief.

Following the video, small-group discussions provide an opportunity to share, reflect and gain strength through mutual support.

Participants will receive a comprehensive workbook filled with practical exercises to help guide them through their personal journey. The cost of the program including the workbook is $20.

This GriefShare group is designed to be flexible — participants can join at any point during the 13 weeks since each session is self-contained.

The final session will be held on April 7, 2025.

For more information, call the church at 480-837-9532 or to sign up, visit griefshare.org/groups/253023.
