Serious need

From my perspective (that of a retired senior) a primary property tax might prove to be a reduction of my discretionary spending. I fully realize my income, going forward, will not increase to match this new expenditure. However, I am grudgingly choosing to support the new tax assessment.

My reasons include maintaining good street conditions and parks that make the community proud. I also recognize the serious need for repairs to our buildings and facilities. I am concerned that our homes remain desirable and competitive in this market.

It is worth the slight belt tightening to maintain our local quality of life.
