To me, and I believe most people would agree the obvious, if someone (Donald Trump) is attempting to mediate between two parties, Zelenskyy and Putin, he needed to keep a neutral public position.
I am not alone in believing that the Democratic Senators, including our own Senator Kelly, do not want Trump to have a foreign policy success and have undercut the president’s efforts. This happened before Zelenskyy went into the White House. They tried to sabotage the signing. It was un-American and was encouraging the useless, wasteful deaths of more young soldiers from both sides.
It may not be treason, but Kelly heading to Ukraine was not helpful at this time; it was very bad timing. He is a former U.S. Airforce officer, not a businessman or professional negotiator. He should leave it to the president's foreign policy officials and the elected president of the U.S.A.
