From the theater group that brought “Bull In a China Shop” and “Love, Loss, and What I Wore,” the Scottsdale Readers Theatre presents a new theatrical adaption that touches on themes of displacement, memory and the impact of eminent domain.
Playing March 5 and 8 in Fountain Hills, Scottsdale Readers Theatre presents “A Swift River Anthology,” a collection of stories from imagined residents whose graves were flooded from the Quabbin Park Cemetery in Ware, Mass., to make way for a drinking water reservoir for the City of Boston.
Sharing stories from beyond the grave, “A Swift River Anthology” gives audiences a glimpse into the lives of those beyond the grave and the cost of transforming private property for public use.
