Schweikert talks policy with Four Peaks Rotary

The Four Peaks Rotary Club was hosted U.S. Congressman David Schweikert at a recent meeting.
Schweikert is serving his fifth term in congress and holds a seat on the Ways and Means Committee. He previously served on the Financial Services Committee.
Congressman Schweikert shared the innovative approaches that are being developed in healthcare. He provided examples of technological innovations as the solution to the problems of what he termed over-burdensome government regulations.
Additionally, he shared briefly his overview of the current situation at the border.
Rotary Club members said they feel strengthened as residents of Arizona by having Schweikert as an integral voice in shaping Arizona’s growing economy.
Schweikert and his wife Joyce enjoy backpacking. They host overnight hikes in the Grand Canyon, and spend lots of time outdoors with their daughter.

The club meets the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 6:45 a.m. at the Fountain View Village, 16455 E Avenue of the Fountains. Meetings usually last about 90 minutes.
