School Board to talk administrative contracts

A new superintendent and middle school principal will potentially be approved during the Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board meeting tonight, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. in the FHUSD learning center.

On the action agenda the board will consider approval of a contract for the new superintendent of schools, who has not been named as of this writing. Current Superintendent Patrick Sweeney announced earlier this spring that he would be retiring from the district, with a search for his replacement beginning immediately after.

The board will also consider approving a contract for James Carrick to serve as the new Fountain Hills Middle School principal. Carrick is currently vice principal at the high school, with current middle school principal Linda McKeever recently announcing she would be leaving the district after just one year (see related story).
