School board meets Wednesday night

After first readings of intergovernmental agreements between the Fountain Hills Unified School District with the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) and Beyond Textbooks, the School Board will this week consider possible approval of these partnerships.

While the EVIT IGA is an annual staple between the two entities, the agreement between FHUSD and Beyond Textbooks would be a first. As explained during the Feb. 8 meeting, Beyond Textbooks is a program that allows teachers to share resources, knowledge, lesson plans and the like in order to better educate students across the country. High School Principal Cain Jagodzinski offered his endorsement of the program two weeks ago and, tonight, the board will have a final say on the matter.

Otherwise, it’s a pretty light agenda to close out February.
