School board meets tonight

The Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board will hold an open meeting tonight, Wednesday, May 15, at the District Learning Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will begin with the usual informational reports from Dr. Robert Allen, but will also include McDowell Mountain Elementary School Principal Valerie Dehombreux presenting the school’s recently awarded A+ banner, as well as highlights from the April 27 high school prom.

In the information and discussion portion of the meeting, the board will discuss the renewal of the district’s IGA with Vail for the Beyond Textbook program. The board will also talk about the extracurricular fee schedule for the 2019-2020 school year, which will include some new fees at the high school level.

The Fountain Hills Unified School District Governing Board will hold an open meeting tonight, Wednesday, May 15, at the District Learning Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The meeting will begin with the usual informational reports from Dr. Robert Allen, but will also include McDowell Mountain Elementary School Principal Valerie Dehombreux presenting the school’s recently awarded A+ banner, as well as highlights from the April 27 high school prom.

The meeting will concluded with the action agenda, where the board will vote on the approval of the 2019-2020 board meeting dates, the approval of a new Life Skills course at the high school and the approval of renewing the district’s food services contract with Sodexo.

This meeting is open to all in the public who wish to attend.
