School bells ring

Summer break is coming to an end for Fountain Hills youth, with local schools returning to session next Tuesday, Aug. 9.

While we’ve got a nice little “in a nutshell” story on page 1A of this week’s paper with several reminders concerning the return of the academic year, this week’s Schools section is once again filled with comments from FHUSD leadership and helpful information for parents and students gearing up for class.

The full bus schedule is also printed in this week’s paper, which we recommend everyone read regardless of whether or not you have kids attending school here. We feel it’s a good idea to know when you can expect heavier bus, bike and pedestrian traffic around town and encourage everyone to be extra cautious on the roadways as our community’s youth make their way to and from school each day.
