SBC Fountain Hills women’s ministry holds high tea

The SBC women’s ministry recently held a “high tea” welcoming the new leadership team at SBC Fountain Hills. It was also an opportunity for the church’s women’s ministry to get to know Shannon Mitchell, SBC’s central director of local outreach and foster care and the pastor’s wife.

Pastor Raygen Mitchell and his wife Shannon Mitchell have been leading Scottsdale Bible Church (SBC) Fountain Hills Church since August 2024.

Over 100 women attended the high tea with hats and fascinators, enjoying tea sandwiches, scones and sweets along with coffee and a variety of teas.

Shannon and Raygen are uniquely gifted to serve as leaders of SBC Fountain Hills, as they bring diverse life experiences that many in the community can relate to, according to a press release.

Shannon grew up in a family with a heart for feeding the homeless and serving the community. Her heart for service led her from the business world to the last 25 years serving in fundraising, large-scale event planning and volunteer engagement.

According to the release, Raygen and Shannon are committed to loving others and letting them know they have been “seen,” all the while making anyone who encounters them laugh.
