On Saturday, Jan. 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Ken Brown, associate pastor at the Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church, will be continuing the church’s informative Saturday series, this time along with the Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary team.
Funeral Director Christian Simmons and Sandy Perrin, advanced planning director, will be covering all aspects of “pre-planning” funerals.
In addition, they will also cover what the funeral directors do to assist families during this difficult time and the many options that are available to them.
Along with informational handouts, there will be an informative discussion on the “Reasons to Preplan.”
Some of those topics addressed by Perrin will be:
1.) Taking the burden off your loved ones.
2.) Allowing people time to put their affairs in order.
3.) Providing your family peace of mind.
4.) People are less likely to overspend.
5.) It alleviates questioning and doesn’t leave your family wondering.
Continuing these helpful series, on Feb. 21 the topic will be “Walking through the Valley of the Shadow of Death,” referring to Psalm 23.
Hospice officials will address some current concerns and questions people have regarding this final stage event and care of loved ones.
On March 21, the series will be on “Finances 401” for seniors as the final installment of the Presbyterian Church’s continuing helpful series on Saturday mornings.
Come join the church for this informative and free event, and if additional information is needed contact the church office at 837-1763.
The church’s campus is located at 13001 Fountain Hills Boulevard, and the series is in the fellowship hall.
