Fountain Hills Sanitary District project set to begin

Recharge well improvement

Work is expected to begin on a Fountain Hills Sanitary District project to upgrade a recharge well for effluent in Fountain Park by the end of this month.

A description of the project from the district’s website states “An above ground control room structure will be constructed for one of the three Aquifer Storage & Recovery (ASR) wells in Fountain Park, to replace an aging underground vault.”

It will be similar to the projects that installed two new restroom buildings in the park in 2019. This facility, however, which will accommodate the last of the three wells in the park, will not be a restroom.
