As of late Friday afternoon construction crews were still working to secure water valve access and manhole covers. That requires new concrete that needs time to set up before traffic can use it.
Also, officials said they expect the new fountain at the head of Avenue of the Fountains at Saguaro Boulevard to be operating as of Saturday.

Motorists in Fountain Hills should find all four lanes of Saguaro Boulevard open for traffic as of Saturday morning, according to town Development Services Director Paul Mood.
As of late Friday afternoon construction crews were still working to secure water valve access and manhole covers. That requires new concrete that needs time to set up before traffic can use it.
Also, officials said they expect the new fountain at the head of Avenue of the Fountains at Saguaro Boulevard to be operating as of Saturday.
Mood said barricading is expected to be removed during the early morning hours.
