RWOTH meets Aug. 8 in Fountain Hills

Republican Women in the Hills will meet Thursday, Aug. 8 at the VFW Post 7507.

The next meeting of the Republican Women of The Hills (RWOTH) will be held Thursday, Aug. 8, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the VFW Post 7507, 9624 N. Monterey Drive, #1.
August is Back To School month so the featured speakers will include Fountain Hills Unified School District School Board candidates Richard Rutkowski and Kim Duckworth as well as Scottsdale Unified School District Board candidates Jeanne Beasley and Gretchen Jacobs.
Sheri Lopez who is running for Cave Creek Unified District School Board will also speak briefly on artificial intelligence issues in schools.
Upcoming events
RWOTH attendees should mark their calendars for Thursday, Sept. 12, when the featured speakers will include some winning candidates from the Republican Primary.
The annual RWOTH fundraiser is also scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 10, at Desert Canyon Golf Club in Fountain Hills from 4 to 6 p.m., featuring author C.R. Stewart as the guest speaker.
Both men and women are welcome to become members of the Republican Women of The Hills. Membership is $25 a year, from July 1 to June 30.
Members who haven’t already done so are asked to bring a check or cash for their yearly renewal. Guests are welcome to attend with a $5 donation.
The RWOTH meets the second Thursday of each month. Attendees should make note that the club has returned to its previous meeting location at the VFW Post 7507.
