RVCA announces new executive director
Kevin Hearty starts June 17

In a statement to residents and community members, Rio Verde Community Association (RVCA) Board President Mark Ohlendorf announced the hiring of a new RVCA executive director.
“On behalf of the RVCA board of directors, I am very pleased to announce that Kevin Hearty has accepted our offer to become the next executive director of the Rio Verde Community Association,” Ohlendorf said.
Current Executive Director Doris Findling announced in January that she would be stepping down from her position as executive director as of June 30, 2024. The board has been working since then to identify and hire the next executive director.
A search committee that included Paul Hofmann, Trish Ugorowski, Kevin Waring and Ohlendorf was approved and the search firm of Adamen, Inc., was hired.
“Over a dozen qualified candidates were identified by our search firm and five were interviewed by the search committee,” Ohlendorf said. “The top two candidates were invited for site visits and board interviews. Kevin Hearty was the board’s unanimous choice. Doris and the administrative staff also expressed their support for Kevin.”
Hearty has experience in all phases of community association management. Most recently, he served as regional vice president for CCMC, a community management firm. He said he is looking forward to using his skills and experience to move Rio Verde forward.
Hearty’s first day will be Monday, June 17. He was introduced at the May 23 RVCA board meeting and was available after the meeting for conversation.
A number of “community introductions” will be planned over the summer and fall, according to Ohlendorf. Details of those events will be provide at a later date.
“Rio Verde has been so very fortunate to have had Doris at the helm for 30 years. Over this time our community has grown and prospered and has benefited from her leadership,” Ohlendorf said. “We are about to begin another chapter and are excited about our future with Kevin Hearty as our executive director.”
