Ruby A. Dickey

Ruby Alexanderine Dickey, 92, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 8, 2014 in Albuquerque, N.M. Ruby was the wife of Milton Clarence Dickey (2006), radio and TV personality in the Kansas City area.

She is survived by her two sons, Roy Dickey and wife, Toby, and their family in Los Lunas, N.M. and Jim Dickey and wife, Ginny, and their family, in Fountain Hills. Ruby proudly boasted eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and made countless friends wherever she was.

Ruby and Milt were married in St. Louis on July 13, 1940, moved to Missouri after Milt’s Navy service in WWII and spent more than 55 years of their lives in Kansas City’s Northland.

Ruby was a charter member of Northminster Presbyterian Church of Kansas City, Mo. Born in Randolph County, Ill., Ruby served her community, church and friends unlike any other.

Services were held at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 1441 NE Englewood Road, Kansas City, MO 64118.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruby’s name may be made to Northminster Presbyterian Church.
