Round it up for P-Bar Ranch fundraiser

Paul’s ACE Hardware is “rounding it up” for the L. Alan Cruikshank River of Time Museum from July 14-27.
Shoppers can choose to round the cost of their purchases to the next dollar and the proceeds will go to help fund the costs of the museum’s upcoming fundraising gala, Taste of the P-Bar Ranch.
The event will be at 6 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, in the Community Center.
New this year will be western-inspired games, a “cork pull” with opportunity to win high end spirits, grab bags, raffle baskets and a live auction conducted by former Mayor Jay Schlum.
Among the items on the auction block will be a flight in a Stearman bi-plane donated by the Commemorative Air Force Museum in Mesa; two nights at the Poco Diablo resort in Sedona donated by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation that includes a Pink Jeep tour; a ride-along with a Maricopa County sheriff deputy on Saguaro Lake; a first class ride on the Verde Canyon Railway and overnight stay in Cottonwood, and a week’s stay at a Rocky Point, Mexico resort.
The menu at various stations will include tumble weed salad, sunset orange cake, buckboard spring rolls, gold digger desserts, desert canyon stew and Mexican street corn.
Local restaurants and caters are providing the tasting-size portions. They include Phil’s Filling Station, Hob Nob Catering, Crowning Glory Tea Room, Sapori D’Italia, HD Asian Bistro, Arrivederci, Saddle Bronc Grill, Sofrita’s, Senor Taco and D.C.’s Bar & Grill at Desert Canyon.
Sponsors for the event include Fred and Barb Hansen, Jerry and Jackie Miles, Jay Schlum, Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce and the Cimarron Sidekicks.
