Two years in development and construction, the park opened in 2007. The town matched the Rotary clubs’ $150,000 contribution.

The community effort, supported by hundreds, is considered a fun, safe location for children to play on warm summer days.

The park recently has been upgraded, painted and seal-coated for safety reasons.

Guests to the festivities are encouraged to wear swim suits and bring towels if they plan to get wet.
