Mr. Robert Henry Feest Jr., “Bob,” 80, passed away peacefully, at the Sherman House Hospice (Mayo Clinic, Phoenix), on the early morning of Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016. He was the loving husband of 59 years to Marjorie Feest.
Robert Feest was born in Waterbury, Conn. on May 23, 1936, son of the late Robert (Sr.) and Jennie Hallenborg Feest. Robert graduated from University of Hartford with his BS of Mechanical Engineering in 1963 and earned his MBA from University of Connecticut Stamford in 1978.
Some of Mr. Feest’s employers included Mattatuck Manufacturing of Waterbury, Conn., New Departure of Bristol, Conn., Pratt & Whitney Aircraft of West Palm Beach, Fla., Barden/FAG of Danbury, Conn., and Honeywell of Tempe.
After retiring from Honeywell, he formed his own consultancy, Symmetry Bearing Solutions, LLC in Fountain Hills.
Robert enjoyed flying and aviation in general. His travels included England, France, Spain, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, India, Nepal, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Alaska and Hawaii.
He hiked the Grand Canyon four times. He was an avid photographer regardless of where his travels took him. Whether for pleasure or for business, Mr. Feest was frequently accompanied by his wife, Marjorie on his voyages.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; his children, Cheryl (husband Anthony Blazejewski) of Fountain Hills, Cynthia (husband David Osborn) of Garden City, N.Y., and Robert H. Feest III of Fargo, N.D.
Bob leaves behind four grandchildren, Lincoln Osborn, Charlotte Osborn, Connie Harris (husband Demouria Harris) and Sonia Bannert (wife Ashley Bannert) all of whom knew the warmth of his love.
Visitation hours and wake will be held at Messinger Mortuary (12065 N Saguaro Blvd. Fountain Hills) on Friday, Oct. 14 between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 11 a.m. at the same location.
