Long-time Fountain Hills resident, Robert E. (Bob) Klem passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday, Aug. 18, after a brief illness.
Born on Dec. 30, 1937 in Boonton, N.J., he worked as a stone mason for the majority of his life.
He moved with his wife and two young sons to Fountain Hills in 1973.
His favorite pastime was to take the family out camping in the desert and mountains of Arizona to pan for gold. Bob was also an avid hunter.
He is survived by his two sons, James Klem (Cheri) and Jeffrey Klem (Carol), of Fountain Hills; three grandchildren, Jamie Klem, Nicole and Katelin Klem; and two sisters, Eileen Klem Finigan in New Jersey and Marge Klem Day in Pennsylvania.
