I still don’t understand how cutting expenses here and there will equate to enough money for the roads in Fountain Hills.

In 2018 the amount needed was around $60 million, but that number is probably not accurate anymore. What I do know is that the longer the town waits the more it will cost as the costs continue to go up over time. It has already been five years since the primary property tax initiative failed, and the roads are getting worse every day. What else is going to be cut?

Not too long ago I asked on a local social media site how the town can come up with the tens of millions of dollars required for the roads and no one offered any reasonable solutions. I was told that Fountain Hills just needs to live within its means. You can only cut so much until the results are detrimental to the town’s existence.
