Rita Barnes

On Jan. 18, 2017 Rita kissed us good-bye and went to be with her Lord, who promised no more pain, anxiety or pills.

Rita, 88, of Fountain Hills was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and faithful friend.

Rita was born in Cicero, Ill. and is survived by her devoted husband and best pal of 68 years and their two children; son, William Barnes; granddaughters, Amy and Courtney; and daughter, Allison Barnes (James Fogarty); grandsons, Bryan and Thomas (Pelach).

She was preceded in death by sister, Dolores Jurcy (Edward). Also survived by sister, Arlene Plechaty (Robert, deceased); nieces and nephews, Patricia Ryan (Thomas), David Jurcy, Robert Plechaty (Joyce), Mark Plechaty (Rosalie), and Rebecca Howledy (Kevin).

She is also survived by sister-in-law, Elaine Barnes (Donald, deceased), Deborah Pierro (David) and Spring Barnes and Brian Barnes (deceased).

She lived in Wester Springs, Ill. and Clarendon Hills, Ill. until 2002 when she and Bill moved to Fountain Hills.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Notre Dame Parish, Clarendon Hills, Ill. Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, Ill.
