After years of uncertainty about where their water is going to come from, homeowners in the Rio Verde Foothills community will have a permanent answer starting Jan. 1.
Private water utility EPCOR issued a statement Dec. 30 saying its standpipe serving the unincorporated community northeast of Scottsdale will be open for business at 7 a.m., News Year’s Day.
“Promise made, promise kept,” EPCOR Senior Vice President of Regulated U.S. Water Shawn Bradford said in the statement. “We were asked to step in and solve the water challenge facing Rio Verde Foothills. We assured the community we would deliver a permanent water solution, and we did.”
