Riders arrive on Avenue

The Navajo County Sheriff’s Hashknife Posse Pony Express riders rode up the Avenue of the Fountains Thursday afternoon enroute to delivering mail to the Fountain Hills Post Office.

A couple of hundred people lined the Avenue between Saguaro Boulevard and La Montana Drive to witness the ride into town and many went to the Post Office to greet the riders.

Tomorrow the group will ride from the Verde River at Fort McDowell into Scottsdale to deliver more mail, and will participate in the Parade Del Sol Parade on Saturday.
