Street reopens after water main break
New asphalt covers the portion of Palisades Boulevard where a water line main break caused wash out damage to the street.

Repairs have been completed to the broken water main and all closures and traffic restrictions along Palisades between Palomino and Shea have been lifted, according to a release from the Town of Fountain Hills.
The water main break occurred early morning on Sunday, Jan. 19, near Palisades Boulevard and Vista Drive. EPCOR Water isolated the affected area, where a break in the 12-inch main occurred. Repairs occurred over the past few days and paving completed Thursday afternoon.
EPCOR Water is a private company that provides water services within the Town of Fountain Hills.

The Times Independent has reached out to EPCOR for additional information on the break as well as any potential plans to rectify what some describe as a chronic problem. At least one resident brought their concerns to the Town Council earlier this week about the inconvenience of the closure and detours while repairs are made.
