Renaming Fountain Hills Community Center after Charlie Kirk? I think not

OPINION - While it would be cool to have my family name on the community center, is the message that Charlie Kirk delivered the message that we, as a town, want to share?

He did good things for the conservative movement, but with the good comes the bad. While delivering his message, I viewed his words as unapologetically racist, homophobic and antisemitic. Are these the type of values that, as a community, we want to share? I would think not.

Perhaps one of the churches that share his values can honor him, but as a town, I think not.
