The Fountain Hills High School boys varsity basketball team is riding high after earning another dominating win against Basis Phoenix, 87-20. The Falcons are enjoying a seven-game win streak and besting their opponent by more than 20 or 30 points each game. Junior Ahren Lloyd continues to thrive this season after another positive stretch of performances in the Falcons’ past few games. Against Scottsdale Christian Academy, Lloyd scored 20 points, earned three rebounds and two assists. Senior guard Lucas Grieco also had 10 points and three assists during that game. The Falcons also beat Scottsdale Christian Academy 60-46.
“I’m determined to go hard each time to the basket. As a big, you have to be tough in the paint on offense and defense,” said Ahren Lloyd. “My teammates know where I like to get the ball, and I try to help them find open shots, too. We’ve been so dominate lately because we’re aggressive and fast with the ball.”
