With summer right around the corner, registration for Girl Scouts Arizona Cactus Pine Council (GSACPC) summer camps is now open, with multiple opportunities for young ladies to get out and get active.
Campers do not need to be a Girl Scout to attend one of the camps that GSACPC is putting on, but registration is based on a first come, first served policy.
GSACPC is offering four camps across the state in Phoenix, Payson and Prescott. All four camps will offer traditional camping actives as well as special activities at each camp.

The Parsons Leadership Center located in Phoenix is a new urban campus that will have STEM-related activities. The Center will host an open house on May 26.
Camp Maripai in Prescott has horsemanship programs for beginners, all the way up to advance riders. Camp Maripai has an open house on June 2.
The other camp in Prescott is Willow Springs, which will offer artistic activities such as theater, fashion and ceramics. Those interested can visit Willow Springs on June 2 at their open house.
The final camp is located in Payson at Shadow Rim Ranch. The camp will include traditional outdoors activities like canoeing, archery and ziplining. On May 27 the Ranch will host an open house.
Camps also offer different sessions for families that range from weekend family camps to overnight camps. The traditional summer camp begins June 3 and will last for nine weeks.
GSACPC is an organization that serves 21,000 girls across 90 communities in Arizona, aiming to help young women develop leadership skills.
“Girl Scout camps are about getting girls outdoors, letting them learn through experience and building their self-confidence while helping them grow as leaders,” said Justina Burks, Outdoor Program Manager for GSACPC. “All our camps provide girls with opportunities for adventure in an environment where they can be their true selves. Not only are our camps affordable, but we welcome all girls, K-12, regardless of whether they are Girl Scouts or not.”
