Reagan moved here from Illinois in 1991 to open a family business FASTSIGNS in Phoenix. She soon became involved in leadership positions within civic and professional groups. As Secretary of State, Reagan not only serves as the state’s chief elections officer but works with the business community in registering and certifying partnerships, trade names, and telemarketers. The Secretary is also the keeper of the Great Seal of Arizona which is affixed to all official acts of the Governor and Legislature.

The office also commissions all notaries and records Living Wills among its many administrative functions.

Since Arizona does not have a Lieutenant Governor, Reagan is also called upon to represent the state at national meetings of the Lieutenant Governors Association representing the West region on the Executive Board. As first in line of succession to the office of governor in the event of death, resignation, or removal from office, the secretary serves as governor when the governor is absent from the state.

A graduate of Illinois State University, Secretary Reagan and her husband, David live in Scottsdale with three dogs and a desert tortoise named Casey. A member of the National and Arizona Federation of Republican Women, Reagan was honored to welcome the 1200 attendees at the opening of the NFRW Convention held in Phoenix in September.

Fountain Hills Republican meetings are open to all interested persons. No reservations are required. During the “meet and greet” period which begins at 8:30 a.m. complimentary coffee and light breakfast refreshments are available. With an upcoming election year, GOP candidates often drop by and are given a brief opportunity to speak at the conclusion of the program.

Upcoming activities include participation in the Fountain Hills Festival or Arts and Crafts and the Thanksgiving Parade. The Christmas Holiday party will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, with popular KFYI talk show host Mike Broomhead as guest speaker. The club's monthly “social” nights have been suspended during the months of November and December and will resume in January.

More information is available at the club's web site www.fhrepublicanclub.org
