The forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain late this afternoon increasing to 70 percent later tonight. The chance of showers drops off to 40 percent on Saturday.
Rainfall amounts from a quarter to half an inch are predicted for this evening.

Rainy weekend is in the forecast

The skies over the Valley darkened to a slate gray with high winds Friday afternoon. The National Weather Service had a Wind Advisory in effect until it expired at 4 p.m.
The forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain late this afternoon increasing to 70 percent later tonight. The chance of showers drops off to 40 percent on Saturday.
Rainfall amounts from a quarter to half an inch are predicted for this evening.
The overnight low should be in the low 70s with the high on Saturday in the mid-80s.
A chance of rain remains in the forecast through Monday.
The storm system bringing this rain caused mudslides closing the interstate highway in the hills north of Los Angeles.
