*Eight years’ experience as a school board member, including two years as president.
*Eight years’ experience serving as a Fountain Hills council member.
*During her 35 years in Fountain Hills she has demonstrated leadership in working with residents, businesses and governmental organizations inside and outside Fountain Hills, regardless of their political affiliation.
*As a school board and counsel member, she was nonpartisan, just as the mayor’s position should be.
*She raised three boys who have completed their education in the FHUSD.
*As a result of her work in the community, she has been a member of the Fountain Hills Hall of Fame since 2010.
*Her volunteer activities include the Sunset Kiwanis, the Community Theater, school site councils and leadership for Fountain Hills’ State’s Centennial celebration.
*She not only has knowledge of our local government, but professional experience in the following: the Maricopa Association of Governments, the state Legislature as a senatorial staffer, the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and the Federal Department of Justice.
*Ginny understands the town’s budget, town’s needs, town’s staff and its strengths and weaknesses. She also understands how other town’s interfacing entities work, e.g. the Sanitary District, Fort McDowell, the NPOA and utility programs (Cox, EPCOR, SRP).
The above demonstrates that Ginny is experienced, qualified and capable of being mayor. Beyond this, those that know her, recognize her love and passion for Fountain Hills.
