The Fountain Hills Planning and Zoning Commission will hold another discussion and hearing related to a proposed telecommunications ordinance for town regulation of communications infrastructure.
It has been an arduous, nearly two-year discussion related to controlling potential proliferation of communications antenna to support ever-evolving technology.
A split decision by the Town Council in June denied a request by the commission and some citizens to release a draft document outlining potential regulations prepared by an outside consultant. The draft was discussed in closed executive session and deemed confidential between the council and town attorney.
